The duties of this hands-on job will include assisting with distribution of bagged flour from our warehouse including ensuring proper rotation and minimizing product damage. Warehouse Operators will be cross trained to perform a variety of tasks.

This job is 1st shift, 7am to 3:30pm Mon-Fri, with ample overtime, including weekends.

Requirements of a successful Warehouse Operator:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Reliable transportation
  • Available to work overtime and weekends
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Here are some of the physical requirements of this role:
  • This job can be physically strenuous
  • You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
  • You will work at heights
  • You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
  • This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders
  • You will be required to wear PPE

We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our Rexel C&I team in Temple, TX!

Essential Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment. Assume responsibility for immediately addressing safety concerns.
  • Receives material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
  • Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.
  • Prepares a receiving report if none is available.
  • Assembles and fills orders to be shipped to customers or other divisions.
  • Loads common carrier and company vehicles.
  • Assembles customer orders to be shipped via UPS.
  • Processes paperwork regarding UPS shipments including verifying that the merchandise to be shipped is correct, applying the correct UPS postage tape, following customer shipping instructions, and insuring the shipment when necessary.
  • Gathers assembled orders that are in carts and verifies their quantities and descriptions. Counts and writes the total quantity of merchandise being shipped on the invoice.
  • Packs each order into a container and arranges the container onto a shelf according to the truck route.
  • Stocks incoming orders onto shelves.
  • Measures, cuts, and spools wire materials.
  • Verifies quantities and items being shipped against the invoice.
  • Substitutes for other warehouse personnel when needed.
  • Makes local deliveries as well.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, and Education Required

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • General knowledge of electrical products required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasks.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • An excellent attendance record required.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.

Position Summary:

The Logistics Specialist at RoadRunner enables a complex network of drivers and logistics providers service thousands of small and medium sized business locations nationwide. The FleetHaul Logistics Specialist effectively juggles a high volume of daily recycling routes across our multiple operating cities, resolves route issues by proactively following up with our drivers, our customers, and several teams across the organization. In addition, the Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring other in-city work is executed and also works diligently with team members to enhance our drivers' experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The primary contact point for all our drivers; facilitating driver execution with immediate urgency and accuracy using our proprietary technology, as well as phone, text, and email
  • Route and dispatch work using available platform drivers and a computerized dispatching system; identify, assign, track, and report on the lifecycle of a route
  • Communicate route information/updates to our customer service and operations teams
  • Handle customer site logistics improvements, including facilitating equipment delivery, equipment placement, and so forth
  • Ensure daily material weight reports are accurate and complete
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our waste/recycling services and solutions according to customer needs and concerns

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • An exceptional ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously
  • An exceptional ability to remain calm and focused in periods of uncertainty and relative chaos
  • A keen attention to detail, balanced with swift execution; you prize quickness but do not compromise accuracy
  • A minimum 1-2 years of experience as a logistics coordinator, dispatcher, transportation consultant, trucking/logistics recruiter or onboarding professional, or related role
  • Computer savvy with the ability to quickly adopt new technology
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • High school degree or GED is required
